Welcome! I am a contract software developer with over two decades of experience and Into Coding is the company through which I offer my services.

I can also provide a costing for individual projects if that is required, but my advice to anyone thinking of having bespoke software made is to try very hard to find existing software that does what you want. If you find something that doesn’t quite do what you want ask yourself “Can we change the way we work to use this software” and if you can do that you will have saved yourself a lot of time, stress and money.

Having been working as a software developer for over 20 years now I’ve seen thing come and go, but having watched the basic principles develop to the ideas and methodologies in use today has given me a unique perspective and understanding of them.

The areas of ability I list here are not an exhaustive list, just those in common use today that I feel confident enough in to architect and write a solution using. Many legacy technologies are not worth listing as I doubt anyone will have call for a VB6 developer but there are many legacy systems out there so if a migration is what you are after please get in touch.

I am primarily a Microsoft C# developer using many of the common frameworks such as MVC, Entity Framework and .Net Core. This is backed up by front end technologies such as HTML, Javascript (and Typescript), Angular, JQuery etc.
